I'm thinking about making some changes here at the blog...a new look, a new name (what I don't know yet!) and some changes to my posting. Don't get me wrong, I will still be featuring sewing front and center since it's my most favorite activity in the world, but I want to inject a little more of "me" into my posts. I kind of feel like I need to make this blog a little more well-rounded and talk about some other things that I enjoy.
For example, I'm getting back into eating healthy and working out and I'd like to talk about that a little bit. I have tried some awesome recipes that I want to share. I've been slowly teaching myself how to do some graphic design and I'd like to share some of the tips and tricks I've been learning. I might do a book review or some other post that doesn't have anything to do with sewing - or share some pictures that have nothing to do with sewing. I don't know, I feel like I want to make this blog into more of a conversation place, a community where I can talk to my readers and maybe you can talk back :) Looking back on some of my old posts, I feel like I'm being kind of generic instead of just freely writing about something that I enjoy. So, starting with this post, I'm going to try and be more open. Share some more. Post more often as I'll have more to talk about :)
What do you think? Do you like blogs that just focus on sewing/crafting or do you like when people get a little more personal, a little more conversational?

Yes, I love the "all things Katie" idea. You have so much to share - your talents have already inspired many. Thank you! :)
Hi! I found you at the Blue-Eyed Owl! I'd love to see what you decide to do with your blog. I feel like I'm always trying to change things on mine and make them better too. Good luck!
I love it when conversations start through blogs too, but I have to admit that it is sometimes hard for me too. Being open about every aspect of my life in such a public way can be really hard, for me at least. :-) Definitely something I can work on. I'd love to see your ideas on graphic design!
